Counselor Nuno Teles, that was considered one of the 50 best Chief Marketing Officer of the USA, will lead Diageo Beer Company, as of March 1st.
Nuno Teles, member of the Portuguese Diaspora Council since 2016, and that was considered one of the 50 best Chief Marketing Officer in the USA, is going to lead Diageo Beer Company, as of March 2018, the north-American subsidiary of the international drinks group that holds brands such as Guinness, Bacardi, J&B, Johnnie Walker or Smirnoff.
In a release published this week, Diageo North America, that controls Diageo Beer Company, referred that Nuno Teles would assume the position the 1st of March, passing to report to Deirdre Mahlan, President of the North-American group.
“I am delighted that Nuno is joining our business. I know that he is going to be a strong partner for me and for the rest of the administration in Diageo North America”, commented Deirdre Mahlan, quoted in a communication.
Nuno Teles comes from Heineken USA, where he was, until now, Chief Marketing Officer. With only 14 years of experience in the beer industry, he started in Scottish & Newcastle, going to Heineken in 2004. Besides Portugal and the USA, the Netherlands and Brazil are also part of his professional path.
Last year, on an interview to ECO, this Portuguese that was considered one of the 50 Chief Marketing Officers mores influents in the USA, stated that Portugal “can be a world hub in the production of audiovisual and advertising movies”.
