The Portuguese Diaspora Council joins these entities with the aim of approaching the younger and more qualified Portuguese Diaspora.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text alignwide is-stacked-on-mobile is-vertically-aligned-top\" style=\"grid-template-columns:30% auto\"><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"560\" src=\"https:\/\/www.diasporaportuguesa.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/AGRAFR_Virginia_Andrade.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-14228 size-full\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.diasporaportuguesa.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/AGRAFR_Virginia_Andrade.jpg 560w, https:\/\/www.diasporaportuguesa.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/AGRAFR_Virginia_Andrade-150x150.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 560px) 100vw, 560px\" \/><\/figure><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Virg\u00ednia Andrade<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.agrafr.fr\/pt\/associacao-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">AGRAFr<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"js-expand-btn\"><a href=\"#\">See more<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group expand-content js-expand-content is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container\">\n<p>Virg\u00ednia Ribeiro de Andrade is the president of AGRAFr (Portuguese Graduate Association in France) and researcher in the field of Cellular Biology and Development, having recently started a post-PHD at the Hubrecht Institute in the Netherlands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>V\u00edrginia has a bachelor\u2019s in Biochemistry by the University of Evora, e concluded her master\u2019s and PHD at Sorbonne Universit\u00e9 \u2013 Universit\u00e9 Pierre et Marie Curie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The work she developed during her PHD at the Cellular Biology and Membrane Traffic Laboratory, at the Pasteur Institute, in Paris, resulted in the publication of scientific articles in world renowned journals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Of the several awards received, we choose to enlighten the award for best PHD thesis of 2022, by the <em>Club Exocytose-Endocytose<\/em>, in France.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>V\u00edrginia has received recently a post-PHD scholarship by the EMBO (European Molecular Laboratory Organization), a renowned European organization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The president of AGRAFr is interested in the communication of sciente, havind participated during her PHD in various activities of divulgation with the Native Cientists, D\u00e9clics e Vie ma Vie de Chercheur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can view Virg\u00ednia Andrade&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/virginia-andrade\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">LinkedIn<\/a> profile here.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group expand-content js-expand-content is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container\">\n<p>AGRAFr &#8211; Association des Dipl\u00f4m\u00e9s Portugais en France &#8211; is an independent, non-profit organization that aims to represent and promote the interests of all Portuguese graduates and Portuguese descendants in France.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>AGRAFr is committed to the success of the Portuguese graduate community living in France, and to the projection of Portugal&#8217;s image in France. As such, AGRAFr&#8217;s main goals are: supporting the integration of its members in the French society as well as supporting their potential return to Portugal; promoting interaction and sharing of personal and professional experiences among members; stimulating cooperation between the Portuguese graduate community living in France and the French and Portuguese academic and business community; and strengthening the influential position of the Portuguese graduate community and Portuguese descendants among the French population. She was Professor at the Polytechnic Institute of Bragan\u00e7a and evaluator of European FP7 projects for the European Commission.<br>Viviana has a degree and a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto. She has a postgraduate degree in Business Management at the Porto Business Management School.<br>She has received several awards, including 1st place in the IChemE Award for Innovation &amp; Excellence for &#8220;Sustainable Technology&#8221;, 2008. She has 5 patents, more than 50 scientific articles and about 40 oral communications.<br>She has been a member of the Portuguese Diaspora Council since December 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group expand-content js-expand-content is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container\">\n<p>ASPPA (Association of Portuguese Postgraduates in Germany e.V.), founded in 2012, is an independent non-profit organization with the ultimate purpose of representing, promoting and defending the interests of Portuguese graduates living in Germany. The objectives of this association are to stimulate the interaction of the community of Portuguese graduates living in Germany with the German and Portuguese academic and business world, promoting mobility and employability; During his degree, Paulo found an interest in Particle Physics, joining the group of Professor Mariano Gago and the LIP (Portuguesa Laboratory of Particle Physics and associated technologies).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 1985, Paulo Gomes did an internship at CERN, in Geneva, Switzerland. Afterwards, he joined a Portuguese team at LIP, who collaborated in experiences of CERN. After his PHD, in 1996, Paulo Gomes was invented by the CERN to work with a group dedicated on cryogenesis. From 2010 to 2017, Paulo lead the team responsible for the automation systems for accelerator vacuum.
