Fernanda Torre is a leading expert in artificial intelligence governance and sustainability-driven innovation, and co-author of the book AI Leadership for Corporate Boards \u2013 Leading Responsible AI for Value Creation. Her work focuses on how boards of directors and executive teams can translate emerging technologies, particularly artificial intelligence, into long-term sustainable value creation. She is also co-director of executive education programs for boards, including Boards Oversight of Responsible AI for Value Creation and Boards Oversight of Sustainability for Value Creation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Fernanda is co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of the Boards Impact Forum, the Nordic chapter of the Chapter Zero Alliance, in collaboration with the World Economic Forum, where she works with board members across the Nordic countries and internationally on topics such as AI governance, digital strategy, and sustainable business transformation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She is CEO of Next Agents, a consultancy dedicated to supporting organizations in creating value for people, business, and the planet through innovation, digital transformation, and emerging technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Fernanda is part of the faculty at the Stockholm School of Entrepreneurship (SSES), where she co-directs the Trendspotting and Future Thinking program and leads the Educator Lab program. She also teaches AI strategy in the executive program AI for Executives in Sweden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Previously, she worked at Stora Enso, where she was responsible for implementing open innovation initiatives, initially within Biomaterials and later globally across more than 20,000 employees. She also worked at the Stockholm Resilience Centre, where she was part of the team that developed the LEAD leadership program and co-created the Biosphere Code, a set of principles designed to guide the development of AI systems aligned with planetary and social boundaries. In addition, she worked at the Karolinska Institutet, at the Centre for Gender Medicine, where she worked with the concept of gendered innovations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Fernanda Torre holds an MBA from the Stockholm School of Economics (SSE), where she was included on the President\u2019s List for academic excellence and was later invited to teach in the program. She also holds a Master\u2019s degree in Experience Design from Konstfack and a degree in Communication Design from the University of Porto. She is currently attending the Executive Board Programme at the Scandinavian Executive Institute and INSEAD.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
