Isabel Pavão-Horvath launches book on 35 years of career

The artist residing in the USA and Counselor of the Portuguese Diaspora launches the book “Porto-Paris-New York”, which reflects her 35-year career, and opens an exhibition, on March 27, at Galeria Árvore, in Porto.

In an interview with RTP, Isabel Pavão-Horvath shared that moving to New York was part of a cycle “in which things were already very structured from an artistic point of view”, adding that this change “helped her to recreate and reinvent, and take certain risks that were worth it.”

Regarding her country of origin, with which she has “a very strong connection”, the Diaspora Counselor says that she loves “to always return to Portugal, to be able to show my work there and to maintain connections”. “All of us who left and have made careers abroad, we are somehow ambassadors for Portugal”, concludes Isabel Pavão-Horvath.
