Alexandre Bernardo is a civil engineer with an international career spanning over 30 years in the management of major infrastructure, engineering, and construction projects.

He currently serves as a board member at Samcrete SE&C, leading operations in markets such as Madagascar, Uganda, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Previously, he held executive positions across Africa, Latin America, the Middle East, and Europe, with a focus on business development, concessions, and the execution of complex projects.

Throughout his career, he has been involved in landmark projects in the sectors of transportation, mining, waste management, and public infrastructure, managing multidisciplinary teams and high-value contracts.

He holds a degree from Instituto Superior Técnico and has completed executive education in leadership and management at Católica, Nova SBE, and Porto Business School.

Alexandre Brandão has been Portugal’s World Advisor since June 2025.
