António Lagartixo holds a degree in Management from Universidade Lusíada de Lisboa and has attended several postgraduate and executive education programs at some of the most prestigious national and international institutions (such as Universidade Católica Portuguesa, Harvard Business School, etc.), particularly in the areas of Strategic Management, Leadership, Telecommunications, and Information Technology.

With over three decades of professional experience, his career has been marked by management roles in both national and multinational consulting firms. He began his professional journey at Arthur Andersen in 1995. In 2002, he joined Deloitte, and in 2003, he became part of the founding team of the consulting firm Maksen. In 2015, following the merger of operations with Deloitte, he joined the Executive Committee of Deloitte in Portugal, where he was responsible for coordinating services provided to clients in the non-financial sectors. In 2019, he was elected CEO/Managing Partner of Deloitte’s network in Portugal, and in 2021, he was appointed a member of the Executive Committee of Deloitte Central Europe and Africa.

Throughout his career, he has led projects and supported organizations across various industries in areas such as business strategy development, mergers and acquisitions, organizational and process optimization, implementation of complex digital transformation programs, and deployment of application architectures.

He was also responsible for establishing consulting practices in several countries across Europe, the Americas, Africa, and the Middle East, having worked in diverse countries such as the United States, Brazil, the UK, Italy, Germany, Spain, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Angola, and Mozambique.

Additionally, he has held roles in various business and industry associations, including board and audit committee positions. He is a founding member of the Encontros de Cascais initiative, a member of the Founders’ Council of the Serralves Foundation, Vice President of the Portuguese-American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham Portugal), and Portugal’s representative in European entities related to the management and operation of Deloitte University. He also serves on the Strategic Council of the Faculty of Management at Universidade Lusíada.

He is the author of several articles and publications in the fields of economics, finance, and digital transformation. He has spoken at various conferences and seminars held by academic institutions, professional organizations, and companies on topics such as business strategy, digital transformation, and innovation.
