Beatriz Capeloa Gil is a Tax Associate at Kirkland & Ellis LLP in London, one of the largest and most prestigious law firms in the world, although she began her professional career in Portugal. She earned her Law degree from Universidade Católica Portuguesa and completed her professional traineeship at Morais Leitão, Galvão Teles & Associados in Lisbon, before starting a Master’s degree in International Tax Law at New York University School of Law.

After completing her Master’s, she worked at the International Monetary Fund in Washington, DC, and at PricewaterhouseCoopers in New York, where she had the opportunity to take her first steps in the field of private equity/asset management. Two years in international tax consultancy were followed by a return to legal practice at two of the most reputable American law firms: Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP and Kirkland & Ellis LLP.

Beatriz Capeloa Gil has been a Young Advisor at the Conselho da Diáspora Portuguesa since July 2024.
