Aparício is the Managing Director of Standard Bank, SA, the Mozambican subsidiary of the Standard Bank Group. He has over 20 years of experience in the financial sector of which over 9 years experience in Mozambique.
Bernardo has held several leadership positions in various areas of Banking at local and regional level in Portugal, United Kingdom and Mozambique, having been Director of absaBank Mozambique and Regional Manager for Southern Africa for Investment Banking.
Previously, he held positions in the UK, Portugal and Spain, in the Project Finance area with a focus on the European and American markets.
Bernardo graduated in Economics at Universidade Nova de Lisboa and also completed the General Management Program at Harvard Business School.
He has been a member of the Portuguese Diaspora Council since December 2022.
