Carlo Almeida was born and raised in Montijo, having spent part of his teenage years in Setúbal. He is a family man, married and father of two daughters.
He holds a degree in Business Management from Universidade Moderna, a Postgraduate Diploma in International Management from the University of California, Irvine (UC Irvine), and completed an Executive Program in New Technologies Business Management at Stanford University, California.
In 2013, he completed an internship at CB Richard Ellis in California. From 2014 to 2020, he served as Chief Financial Officer and was responsible for planning and management control in various Portuguese companies. He was also Managing Partner at Sigmaprivilege in Portugal, Executive Director at Sigma’s Belgian division, and Managing Partner at FourStar Middle East in Dubai.
An entrepreneur since the age of 25, Carlo has developed business ventures in several countries — Portugal, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Brazil — with a strong focus over the last three and a half years on the Middle East (UAE, Dubai). In this context, he identified the growing need for companies to raise capital and establish a presence in the region. To meet this demand, he built strategic partnerships, including a key collaboration with the Private Office of His Highness Sheikh Marwan Bin Rashid Bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, a member of the Dubai Royal Family.
Passionate about travel and sports, Carlo competed in long-distance triathlons (226 km events) for eight years and actively practices surfing and snowboarding.
Carlo Almeida has been Portugal’s World Advisor since May 2025.
