Carlos Costa Andrade has been a partner at Uría Menéndez since 2005, focusing his practice on Capital Markets, Mergers and Acquisitions, and Corporate Governance.

Prior to joining Uría Menéndez, he began his career at Palma Carlos & Associados and went on to lead the legal division of the Issuers, Offerings, and Markets Department at the Lisbon Stock Exchange.

He is a regular contributor to expert forums on the Portuguese capital markets, promoted by institutions such as the Bank of Portugal, the Portuguese Securities Market Commission (CMVM), Euronext Lisbon – Sociedade Gestora de Mercados Regulamentados, S.A., and the Portuguese Institute for Corporate Governance.

His expertise also extends internationally. He served as a member of the Fixed Income and Equities Committee of BM&F Bovespa (Brazil) and played a key role in coordinating the legislative reform that enabled the introduction of Structured Operations Certificates, in close collaboration with the Central Bank of Brazil, the Brazilian Securities Commission (CVM), and BM&F Bovespa.

Carlos Costa Andrade has been Portugal’s World Advisor since june 2025.
