Carlos Palhares is the Founder and Chairman of the Mecwide Group. He founded the company in 2009 and served as its CEO until 2022, leading its expansion and international growth before assuming the role of Chairman.

Previously, he held senior management positions at companies including Lear Corporation, Yazaki Saltano, and Simoldes. He is also Co-Founder and Mentor of MUB Cargo and a member of the Board of Directors of Sines Tecnopolo, reflecting his ongoing commitment to entrepreneurship and innovation.

He studied at ISEP – Porto School of Engineering and furthered his executive education through an Executive MBA at the University of Porto, the Orchestrating Winning Performance programme at IMD, and a Mini MBA in Oil & Gas at the CWC School for Energy.
