Francisco Morgadinho is a Finance and Strategy Director with experience across the Energy, Oil, and Chemicals sectors. He holds a degree in Economics from the University of Coimbra and, after one year at IGCP, began his professional career at General Electric (GE), working across several businesses—Plastics, Energy, Oil & Gas, and Corporate. He led two businesses within the GE–Baker Hughes joint venture and is currently leading the strategy and finance of one of the business units at the chemical company LyondellBasell.
Over the past 22 years, his professional experience has provided opportunities to lead the design and execution of strategies that increased company growth, profitability, and shareholder value. He has also led mergers and acquisitions transactions and driven continuous improvements in financial and operational organizations. Working in companies with outstanding leaders greatly contributed to his professional development, and he has also had the opportunity to live and work in 10 countries across three continents (Europe, the Americas, and Africa).
Despite living and working abroad for many years, Francisco has always remained true to the customs and values of Portuguese culture, which have added value to these international organizations. His experience in Portuguese-speaking countries such as Brazil and Angola has also been particularly enriching, both personally and professionally.
