Guilherme Pereira is Vice President of Engineering and Head of Infotainment Platforms (Software and Hardware) at CARIAD, the Volkswagen Group’s software company, where he leads the development of platforms that will equip the Group’s future generations of vehicles.

With over ten years of experience in automotive software, he has built a career focused on leading high-performing engineering teams. During his seven years at BMW Group, he led the development of next-generation infotainment systems and, at Mapbox, led the team responsible for the Navigation SDK. He began his career in Portugal, working at Fraunhofer Portugal and Altran on embedded systems.

He holds a Master’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto. He has been living in Germany since 2018 and speaks Portuguese and English.

Guilherme Pereira joined the Portuguese Diaspora Council as a World Advisor in October 2026.
