Helena Monteiro was born in Porto on January 3, 1975.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a degree in International Management from the Polytechnic Institute of Porto. She also completed executive programs at Porto Business School and Católica Lisbon School of Business and Economics.

She joined Caixa Geral de Depósitos (CGD) in 1997 and has held various positions within the bank’s Commercial Network, including Personal Client Manager, Corporate Client Manager, Deputy Branch Manager, and Branch Manager. Until December 2023, she served as Branch Manager of the Central Agency in Porto.

Since January 1, 2024, she has been responsible for CGD’s Representative Office in Switzerland.

Helena Monteiro has been Portugal’s World Advisor since June 2025.
