With more than 20 years’ experience in business development in Portugal and in emerging markets, Hussein Ahamad co-founded the Interway Group, a company that holds stakes in various companies in the IT, health and logistics sectors, among others, and has been responsible for implementing various innovative and structural projects in Portuguese-speaking countries such as Angola, Mozambique, Guinea Bissau, East Timor, Brazil and Equatorial Guinea since 2004.
Between 1999 and 2001 he worked in the CRM and E-business department at Novabase in Portugal, and from 2001 to 2003 as Country Manager for an international group with Canadian capital in the communications area (Pan Intra);
Academically, Hussein has a post-graduate degree in Business Administration from Universidade Católica Portuguesa and a degree in Computer Engineering from the University of London and Universidade Nova de Lisboa.
Hussein Ahamad has been a member of the Portuguese Diaspora Council since 2023.
