Inês (Campos Costa) Bartilotti, MD, MBA, was born and raised in Portugal and relocated to Canada in 2022. She is currently part of the executive leadership team at Innovate Calgary, where she serves as Senior Director of New Ventures, fostering the innovation ecosystem of the University of Calgary and supporting science-based entrepreneurs in the commercialization of scientific innovation.
With a multidisciplinary career and experience across various sectors, Inês has worked in consulting (McKinsey, Kaizen, imatch), multinationals (Philip Morris International, Daiichi-Sankyo), nonprofit organizations (Fraunhofer Institute, TEDx Calgary), and has founded two companies. She was a member of the National Board of ANJE – National Association of Young Entrepreneurs, where she represented the organization in multiple forums, engaging with institutions and prominent figures in the entrepreneurial ecosystem. In the realm of public policy, she was part of the Health Parliament Portugal, where she chaired the Health Ethics Committee, exploring the implications of health data usage within the framework of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Her diverse experience across sectors has given her a deep understanding of the transformative impact that the right support can have on early-career professionals. With this commitment in mind, she dedicates part of her time as an Advisor on the Haskayne Entrepreneurial Advising Team — a volunteer group of professionals supporting entrepreneurial activities at the Haskayne School of Business — and as a Career Advisor and Keynote Speaker on Chaperone, an online career development marketplace for scientists.
Inês maintains a strong connection to the Portuguese community and sees the Portuguese Diaspora Council as an opportunity to apply her international experience, strategic vision, and leadership skills to strengthen the link between Portugal and the global innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem.
Inês Bartilotti has been Portugal’s World Advisor since May 2025.
