João Noronha Lopes is CEO of PB Consulting, which provides consultancy in the areas of F&B, consumer goods, hospitality and retail, and is also Senior Advisor of several Private Equity companies.

A C-Suite Executive with global experience as Chairman, Non Executive Director and CEO, leading teams in several countries and regions of the world through organic growth, M&A or franchising. He currently serves as Board Chairman in London and Non Executive Director in Lisbon, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Madrid, Singapore and Guatemala City.

In 2018 he founded and is Co-CEO of the restaurant chain “Vira Frangos”, recognized by the Confederation of Commerce of Portugal as the most innovative concept of concussion in 2022.

He had an international career particularly linked to McDonalds Corporation between 2002 and 2018 in various cargoes and geographies. He was CEO of McDonalds Portugal, SVP of McDonalds South Europe, SVP of McDonalds France, European VP and Chief Supply Chain Officer at McDonalds Europe and Corporate SVP and Chief Franchising Officer Worldwide

He collaborated with the “Catolica Lisbon School of Business and Economics” in the “Executive in Residence” program and is regularly a consultant and mentor in several institutions such as the “Nova School of Business and Economics”.

He is part of the Strategic Board of “Hope Care”, a digital health company and is an advisor at “Bridgewhat”, a consulting platform for companies in the Portuguese, Spanish and Brazilian markets.

He was on the board of the Associação de Restauração de Portugal and was part of the governing bodies of Sport Lisboa e Benfica.

He is a member of the YPO (Young Presidents Organization), the world’s largest organization of CEOs, comprising the chapters of Paris, Greater Europe and Lisbon.

Received the “Best Portuguese International Leader Award” in 2013 (Best Leader Institute, Lisbon)

He is a member of the Portuguese Diaspora Council since 2013.
