João Pereira is an experienced international manager, specializing in strategic sales and business development in the B2B software and SaaS sector, with a strong focus on European and Latin American markets. He is currently Director, EMEA General Embedded Market at BlackBerry QNX, providing solutions for critical systems in sectors such as aerospace and defence, industrial automation, medical devices, and robotics.

With over 20 years of leadership experience in multinational companies, he has a proven track record in developing and leading high-performing commercial teams and implementing innovative business strategies. His key achievements include expanding into new markets, establishing regional operations, and transforming traditional business models into customer-centric SaaS services.

In addition to his practical experience, he holds a degree in Industrial Production Engineering from the Faculty of Science and Technology at Universidade Nova de Lisboa (2001) and an MBA from The Lisbon MBA program (2008) of Universidade Católica Portuguesa and Universidade Nova de Lisboa. He is fluent in Portuguese, English, German, and Spanish, with strong intercultural skills gained over more than two decades of work in different countries, including extended residence in Spain and Germany.
