José Lupi is a partner at Lupi & Associados, with over a decade of experience in mergers and acquisitions across the financial, energy, resources, and infrastructure sectors, operating between China, Latin America, and Africa. He is a licensed lawyer in Macau, Brazil, and Portugal, and is recognized by directories such as Chambers and Partners, Legal 500, IFLR1000, and Asialaw.

He serves as an arbitrator in institutions across China, Macau, and Japan and is a member of several professional organizations, including the Federation of Portuguese-speaking Lawyers. He was previously an international partner at King & Wood Mallesons in Beijing, advising on major transactions between China and Lusophone countries, and has held legal roles in Brazil, Angola, Macau, Hong Kong, Portugal, and Spain.

José holds a PhD in International Law from the University of Political Science and Law in China, a Master’s in International Management from Chongqing University, and a Law degree from the University of Lisbon. He is fluent in Mandarin, Portuguese, Spanish, English, and Italian.
