He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico and an MBA from Universidade Nova, and has built extensive international experience in the financial sector.

He is currently a Board Member at Ocidental, having previously served as an Executive Board Member at Millennium bcp Ageas since April 2023.

He began his career in the automotive sector in 1989 and later worked as a Senior Consultant at Roland Berger Strategy Consulting and as a Store General Manager at Sonae Distribuição. He joined the Millennium BCP Group in 1999 and, in 2002, was appointed CEO and Board Member of Companhia de Seguros de Macau and Companhia de Seguros de Macau Vida. In 2005, he became a Board Member of Banco BCM (Macau).

In 2008, he was appointed CEO and Board Member of Millennium Angola, followed by his appointment as CEO of Millennium Romania in 2012. In 2015, he became CEO and Vice-Chairman of the Board of Millennium bim (Mozambique).

He has been a Member of the Portuguese Diaspora Council since December 2022.
