Luís Veloso is the current General-Director of Transcom in Mozambique, since 2020.Engº Luis Veloso de Almeida is a senior executive with more than 30 years of experience in leadership, business development and management in international markets such as Africa, China and Europe.

He is currently Managing Director of Transcom, the founding entity of ISUTC – Instituto Superior de Transportes e Comunicações and ITC – Instituto Transportes e Comunicação.

He has extensive experience in the financial sector: he was Chairman of the Executive Committee of Banco MAIS in Mozambique, Member of the Board of Directors of SIMO, Member of the Board of Directors of Caixa Económica de Cabo Verde, Member of the Board of Directors of Banco África Oeste and Managing Director at Geocapital.

He has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Instituto Superior Técnico in Lisbon, has completed the Advanced Management Program for Executives at the Catholic University of Portugal and the Advanced Program for Non-Executive Directors at the Portuguese Institute of Corporate Governance.

He has been a member of the Ordem dos Engenheiros in Portugal since 1990, and an associate member of the Portuguese Institute of Corporate Governance.

He has been regularly invited to be a speaker at some international seminars and conferences, such as:

  He was Chairman of the Executive Committee of Banco MAIS, in Mozambique, from 2014 to 2019, and also Member of the Board of Directors of Caixa Económica de Cabo Verde, between 2009 and 2019. Luís Veloso also held the position of Member of the Board of Directors of the Bank West Africa in Guinea-Bissau, between 2012 and 2017, and the position of Director General of Geocapital, between 2008 and 2020.
  He has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from IST and a postgraduate degree in marketing from ISGL.
