Manuela Abreu is the Managing Director of OnBoard Advisory S.à r.l., which she founded in 2021, and serves as a Non-Executive Director and Chair on the boards of investment funds in Luxembourg, including UCITS, Private Equity, Infrastructure, and Debt Funds. She has over 20 years of experience in international taxation, corporate governance, and financial services.

Prior to founding her company, she held leadership roles at EY Luxembourg as an Associate Partner and at Deloitte Luxembourg as a Tax Director. She began her career in Portugal at PwC and Deloitte, working in international taxation and corporate law.

She holds a Law degree from the University of Lisbon and an LL.M. in European and International Tax Law (Queen Mary & LSE), along with additional training in Corporate Governance and Luxembourg taxation. She is a frequent speaker on investment funds, governance, and diversity topics and is a member of organizations such as ILA, ALFI, LPEA, and Female Board Pool.

Actively involved in social initiatives, she supports the Luxembourg International Bazaar – Portugal Stand and mentors secondary school students. She is recognized for her rigor, ethics, and commitment to excellence and innovation in the financial sector.
