Maria Marta Geraldes

Maria Marta Geraldes has been the CFO of the EDP Group for South America since February 2024. She also serves as Chair of the Board of Directors of Enerprev (the EDP Group’s pension fund entity) and of the São Manoel Hydroelectric Power Plant (a partnership between EDP, Eletrobras, and CTG).

She began her career in 2005 at Banif Banco de Investimento in Lisbon. Between 2007 and 2013, she worked in the Finance and M&A teams at EDP. In 2013, Maria Marta joined Galp to lead the Capital Markets area, and from October 2017 to February 2022 she served as Global Director of M&A & Corporate Finance at Galp.

Between 2016 and February 2022, she was a Non-Executive Director of Galp Gás Natural Distribuição (now Floene, a partnership with Allianz Capital Partners and Marubeni Corporation), which holds the majority of natural gas distribution concessions in Portugal. In February 2024, she returned to the EDP Group, where she led the Group’s Global External Relations and Stakeholders Directorate until February 2024.

Maria Marta holds a degree in Economics from Católica Lisbon School of Business & Economics, an MBA with distinction from London Business School, and has completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.

Maria Marta Geraldes has been Portugal’s World Advisor since December 2025.
