Marisa Monteiro Borsboom has a unique career as a legal specialist, entrepreneur, and advocate for technological innovation. Her legal career spans nearly two decades, during which she expanded her focus beyond traditional law, embracing entrepreneurial initiatives such as founding the MQM Legal Center — now Verae Legal — in the Netherlands, and the agency Humanity of Things. Marisa has a prominent presence in the European Legal Tech community, advocating for diversity, sustainability, and human-centred design. Her work is guided by principles of integrity, transparency, and courage, establishing her as a leading figure in discussions on legal technology and governance.

She is also highly active in initiatives dedicated to women, contributing through advocacy and speaking engagements on the future of technology and ethics. Her diverse roles and contributions — ranging from legal consultancy to participation on boards of various organizations — position her as a multidimensional leader, combining a deep understanding of human nature with strategic and innovative approaches to technology and governance.
