Born on August 28, 1988, in Seville, Spain, to a Portuguese mother from Leça da Veiga, Miguel Angel Martín Gutiérrez moved to Almada, Portugal, in 1993 — a city that would shape his sociocultural interests and strong community engagement. From a young age, he became involved in informal community associations, expressing himself through Hip-Hop and traditional Portuguese music, collaborating since 2003 with artists such as Sam The Kid, Chullage, and Dino D’Santiago.
Throughout his musical career, he has worked with acclaimed national and international artists including MARO, legendary producer Quincy Jones, and Wyclef Jean, performing on international stages like SXSW in Texas in 2012.
In 2014, after a brief stint with Emirates Airlines, he pursued social entrepreneurship by joining a Pakistani family office in Dubai. He was involved in major projects such as the Palazzo Versace Dubai Hotel and the Global Sustainability Network — an organization aligned with the United Nations focused on SDG 8 (decent work and economic growth), fighting modern slavery and human trafficking. In this role, he worked alongside global leaders from academia, business, philanthropy, government, media, and religion.
Following the COVID-19 pandemic, he played a key role in bringing the global GirlGamer eSports tournament to the Middle East. Currently, he is focused on helping companies expand internationally, particularly in Dubai. He is also producing an orchestral album and serves on several advisory boards, including the Dubai Government’s DMCC, the Portuguese Business Council in Dubai, and The Men Collaborative by Rema DuPont (focused on men’s mental health in the USA).
Miguel Gutierrez has been Portugal’s World Advisor since june 2025.
