Paula Pereira da Silva has been the Country Manager of Galp in Brazil since July 2024. She previously held various leadership positions within the company: with over 13 years at Galp, she began her career as a petroleum engineer and later assumed roles such as COO, Executive Management Assistant and Portfolio Manager in Global Business Development, notably participating in bidding rounds in Brazil.

Her professional journey led her to move to Rio de Janeiro upon her appointment as Commercial Director. From there, she expanded her scope of operations from Brazil to all Upstream geographies, later extending her experience to Refining, Logistics, Biofuels, and Green Hydrogen. In 2021, Paula was appointed Commercial & Portfolio Director, managing the full spectrum of Galp’s business in Strategy, Portfolio, and M&A. Prior to joining Galp, she worked as a researcher in Hydraulic Engineering (Portugal/Germany).

She holds an Executive MBA from Nova/Católica/MIT Sloan (PT/USA) and two master’s degrees: one in Civil Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico (PT) and another in Petroleum Engineering from Heriot-Watt University (UK).
