Pedro Martinho has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia da Universidade de Coimbra. A senior member of the Order of Engineers, he began his professional career at the Instituto Pedro Nunes em Coimbra, where he worked on the Wind Tunnel.
Since 2002 he has been a businessman in Morocco, heading the COUVERMETAL Group, which is present in Algeria and Guinea Conakry as well as Morocco. Between 1996 and 2002, he was responsible for managing the Universidade de Évora facilities and works, including the reconstruction of the Colégio Luís António Verney, Pole 2 and the Veterinary Hospital.
He is strongly committed to promoting Portugal in the region, and is a member of the Advisory Board of the Consular Area of the Portuguese Embassy in Morocco and Vice-President of the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services in Morocco.
Pedro Martinho has been a member of the Portuguese Diaspora Council since November 2023.
