Paulo Paiva dos Santos is President of the Portuguese Business Council in Dubai, an organization operating under the umbrella of the Dubai Chambers, with the mission of strengthening economic relations between Portugal, the United Arab Emirates, and international markets.

He is an entrepreneur with more than three decades of experience in the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors, with a strong focus on innovation, manufacturing, and international expansion.

He is the founder of GENERIS Farmacêutica and Equalmed (formerly Apogen), with a portfolio of more than 500 medicines launched and the development of three industrial facilities in Portugal and Spain, contributing to global access to high-quality medicines.

Holding postgraduate qualifications from Harvard University and the University of Oxford, he combines a strong academic background with extensive international business experience.
