João Magalhães is a specialist in General Practice and Family Medicine and currently serves as Chief Medical Officer at Viva Health Suisse, which is part of the Swiss Medical Network.

He graduated in Medicine from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto and, throughout his career, gained international experience in several countries, including Germany, United Kingdom, and Switzerland.

Over the course of his career, he has taken on increasing clinical leadership responsibilities within the Swiss healthcare system, combining medical practice, strategic management, and organizational development, with a particular focus on innovation and digital health.

He holds a Master’s degree in Public Health from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine and an Executive Master’s in Health Management from the Universidade Católica Portuguesa.
