With over 30 years of extensive experience in financial management, Rui Coelho has been a key member of our leadership team since February 2022, guiding Union Properties toward financial sustainability, driving efficiencies, and leading debt restructuring efforts, while fostering trust and credibility across our stakeholder ecosystem.

Previously, Mr. Coelho led financial functions for major family conglomerates, real estate developers, and utilities companies across the GCC/EMEIA region, including: Al Zarooni Holdings, Mazrui Holdings, ACWA POWER / NOMAC – First National O&M, ADIVO CONSULTING, AQUALIA, among others.

Mr. Coelho earned his degree from Universidade Lusíada in Lisbon, followed by an MBA from Edinburgh Business School at Heriot-Watt University.

He is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), accredited since 2005.

His additional certifications include: Certified International Management Accountant (CIMA), Certified Quality Auditor (ISO), Six Sigma Lean/DFSS Green Belt Certification, Internal QMS Auditor, and Project Management Professional (PMP).
