Tiago Mogadouro is a Portuguese manager and marketer from Porto, with academic training in Marketing, Communication, and Management from institutions in Portugal, Denmark, and the United States. He was an international water polo athlete between 2004 and 2016, earning more than 25 international caps, winning multiple national titles, and being part of the national team that won the Six Nations Tournament for the first time in 2008.
He began his professional career at Walt Disney World and later worked at the Portuguese Swimming Federation, where he co-authored the Strategic Plan 2014–2024. He joined Merlin Entertainments in 2016 at SEA LIFE Porto, where he organized the largest beach clean-up in the city’s history. In 2020, he took on responsibility for marketing at Madame Tussauds New York, gaining particular recognition for the launch of the Cristiano Ronaldo figure in partnership with Turismo de Portugal. In 2024, he was promoted to General Manager of the museum.
Throughout his career, he has received several national and international distinctions, including the NYC Tourism Honoree award from City Guide NY in 2022 and the ISCAP Alumni Award 2025. He recently contributed to the book 71 Voices for the Internationalization of ISCTE and is a regular speaker at marketing, tourism, and management events.
