Tirso Olazabal is a Partner at MdME Lawyers, based in Hong Kong, where he is responsible for the firm’s Hong Kong office. He has built an extensive international career in investment, financial structuring, and real estate development, with a particular focus on the Portuguese and Macao markets and on cross-border transactions. Throughout his professional career, he has been involved in the structuring and execution of complex transactions, including the acquisition, financing, and development of real estate assets, as well as providing strategic advice to institutional investors and ultra-high-net-worth individuals (UHNWIs).

His experience spans multiple jurisdictions and diverse legal and financial frameworks, with a strong focus on bridging Europe and Asia. This enables him to act as a link between international investors and investment opportunities in Portugal.

In addition to his professional activities, Tirso Olazábal currently serves as Chairman of the Hong Kong–Portugal Chamber of Commerce, where he plays an active role in strengthening economic, commercial, and institutional relations between the two territories. In this capacity, he promotes the internationalisation of companies, bilateral investment, and the development of strategic partnerships between Portuguese and Asian entities.

His work combines a strong international outlook with an ongoing commitment to promoting the Portuguese diaspora, contributing to Portugal’s positioning as an investment destination and strategic partner on the global stage.

He holds a Law degree from the Portuguese Catholic University, Lisbon School of Law, and is multilingual, speaking Portuguese, Spanish, English, and French.
