Portuguese Diaspora Council signs Partnership Protocol with Cascais Municipality

On April 27, 2026, the signing ceremony of the partnership protocol between the Portuguese Diaspora Council and the Cascais Municipality took place, reinforcing the Municipality’s support for the Council’s mission and work. The session was held in the Salão Nobre of the Town Hall and was attended by the President of the Council’s Board, António Calçada de Sá, and Councillors of Portugal in the World, as well as the Mayor of Cascais, Nuno Piteira Lopes, and the remaining members of the municipal executive.

The agreement provides for support for the Council’s initiatives, such as the EurAfrican Forum and the Annual Meeting of the Portuguese Diaspora Council, as well as the continued location of the organization’s headquarters in Cascais and the allocation of municipal financial support. This moment marks the continuation of a strong relationship, built over several years, based on trust, a shared vision, and commitment to Portugal.
