At the age of 48, António Carlos Rodrigues has always been linked to the Casais Group. He holds a Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Minho, where he also attended the MBA Construction Specialization Course. In 2017, he finished the Owner / President Management Program at Harvard Business School and in 2020 the YPO @ MIT: Technology + Innovation, Real Estate in a Time of Fundamental Change course at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In 2021, he completed M&A: Strategy, Execution and Post-Merger Management, also at Harvard Business School.

He is CEO of Grupo Casais, with a presence in 17 countries, a universe of 4,900 employees and a turnover of around €527M. His path has always been linked to the Group, having started functions in the organization as Technical Director of Construction, later assuming the Production Directorate and, later, accumulating the functions of Technical Commercial Director and Chief Executive Officer (with supervision of the Technical-Commercial, Information Systems, Quality and Marketing). In 2007, he assumed the role of Director and, a year later, Chairman of the Executive Board.

Currently, he is also Vice-President of the General Council of the University of Minho; Member of the Strategic Council of the Institute of Science and Innovation for Bio-Sustainability (IB-S); Member of the Board of Directors of CVR – Waste Recovery Center; Business Ambassador for the city of Braga; Member of the Advisory Board of the Civil Engineering course at the University of Minho; Member of the European Construction Industry Forum of the YPO (Young Presidents Organization); Ambassador of the Alumni community of the University of Minho; Member of the Assembly of Representatives of the Order of Engineers; Member of the Advisory Board of Clean Earth Acquisitions Corp; and Member of the Board of AICCOPN (Association of Civil Construction and Public Works Industries).


In 2022, he was considered Personality of the Year in the Construction Area by Magazine Imobiliário.
