Inês Cabral holds a degree in Economics from Universidade Nova de Lisboa and a PhD in Economics from the European University Institute.
She is currently Senior Advisor in the Directorate General Macroprudential Policy and Financial Stability, having served as Counsellor to the Executive Board of the European Central Bank from 2014 to March 2026. Previously, Inês was an Advisor in the Macrofinancial Links Division of the Financial Stability Directorate.
Inês Cabral has been a member of the Portuguese Diaspora Council since December 2022.
