Inês Cabral holds a degree in Economics from Universidade Nova de Lisboa and a PhD in Economics and Macroeconomics from the European University Institute.
She has been a member of the Executive Board of the European Central Bank since 2014, working mainly in the areas of financial stability and macro-prudential policy. Previously, Inês was an Advisor in the Macrofinancial Links Division of the Prudential Framework Policy and Financial Stability Directorate-General.
Inês Cabral has been a member of the Portuguese Diaspora Council since December 2022.
