Advisory Board Meeting | October 22

On October 22, the Advisory Board of the Portuguese Diaspora met at Palácio Sottomayor in Lisbon for a session focused on strengthening the Diaspora’s contribution to Portugal’s business community and economy.

We would like to thank PwC, and António Brochado Correia in particular, for their warm welcome and for hosting this meeting.

Discussions focused on expanding the Board’s role in supporting businesses and the national economy, in coordination with AICEP and through the mobilisation of the Regional Chapters of the Portuguese Diaspora Council.

This ambition was also reflected in the dinner that followed, which was attended by AICEP’s newly appointed President, Ana Casaca. She shared some of her initial initiatives, demonstrating a dynamic and pragmatic approach. We wish her every success in this new role and reaffirm our commitment to building bridges of collaboration between AICEP and the Portuguese Diaspora Council’s global network.

The dinner also marked Pedro Reis’s return to the Presidency of the Advisory Board. A former Minister of Economy, he brings valuable experience and a close connection to the Board, and we are pleased to welcome him back as he begins this new chapter.

We thank everyone who attended, particularly the members of the Advisory Board and the Presidency, for their time, dedication and contribution to advancing the mission of the Portuguese Diaspora Council.
