Manuela Veloso hired by JP Morgan

The researcher will lead to lead the artificial intelligence research unit that is included in a pack of JP Morgan’s technological investments of 10,8 billion dollars.

Manuela Veloso, professor of Machine Learning at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) and counselor of the Portuguese Diaspora Council, was announced as the most recent hiring of the north-American bank. The researcher that is a reference in artificial intelligence in robotics will lead the investigation unit research unit that is included in a pack of JP Morgan’s technological investments of 10,8 billion dollars.

The hiring is part of the strategy of the investment bank to implement more technology in its business. “This effort will be increasingly bigger and it will have as main goal to identify future opportunities”, explains JP Morgan in a release.
