Portuguese is now taught on the United Nations

The Portuguese language is now one of the taught languages at the International United Nations International School, in New York.

The pilot project is now being implemented through a collaboration protocol between Portugal and Brazil.

After the experimental phase, the Portuguese can become one of the mandatory languages, as the Antena1/RTP correspondent at the United States tells us.

All the CPLP countries with representation at UN were present at the ceremony.

The Portuguese becomes now the tenth language of the United Nations International School.
