The Chef José Avillez received one of the most prestigious awards in the world, the Grand Prix de L’Art de La Cuisine.
“It’s a tremendous pride”, he said, before enhancing that this victory was even better “because envolves the portuguese cuisine”. “I was the first Portuguese to receive this distinction, but even if it would have been another one, the result would always be positive because it’s our gastronomy that wins”, he concluded. Avillez explains that this was an award that he already knew, once he follows the work of many other “distinguished cookers” that had already won this prize.
